Heather Harris
I was born into the Travel Industry, as the daughter of an American Airlines General Manager, and had clocked over 22 trips (2 internationally) in my baby book before I reached the age of 2. I can’t even drive by an airport without fighting the urge to jump on a plane! This innate love of travel is what brought me to Food & Wine Trails after the sale of my event planning company which was the very first sustainable (organic) off-premise catering company in the SF Bay Area in 1997. I have always been a planner, whether it was organizing games as a child on the playground, helping out at my family’s Bed & Breakfast in New England or single-handedly orchestrating a week long camp of over 80 artists in the desert.

- Recipient of the ISES J. Robert Graves Pioneer Award, 2006
- Recipient of the ISES Westie Award 2005, “Best Logistical Achievement for an Event”, after organizing a Hurricane Katrina Relief Fundraiser, in just 4 days, that raised over $60,000 for the Red Cross
